How To Make
Chicken (cut in 8 pieces) 1
Oil 1/2 cup
Chili (grounded) 2 tsp
Golden-fried Onions (grounded) 2
Saffron (zafran) 1/2 tsp (mixed with 1 tsp. kewra)
Coriander seed (grounded) 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Ginger 1 tsp
Garlic 1 tsp
Curd (beaten) 1 250 gm
Allspice 1/2 tsp
Heat oil and fry chicken pieces till light golden. Add ginger and garlic and fry. Then add all the spices mixed in curd. Stir and saute it well. Add onions blended with a little water.
Cover and on low heat cook. Let it simmer for 20 minutes till chicken is tender and gravy is thick. Lastly add allspice and saffron, kewra. Serve hot with tartan or sheermal.
